The Helios VDW 315/4 is a high-performance centrifugal roof fan designed for vertical discharge, combining efficiency with a compact and weather-resistant construction. Its housing is built from seawater-resistant aluminium and includes an integrated protection guard to ensure reliable operation in demanding environments. The motor support and base plate, made from galvanised steel, incorporate a precision-formed inlet cone for optimal airflow. The base plate features threaded bolts for easy attachment of intake-side accessories, with a hole pattern in accordance with DIN 24155, page 3. A bird guard on the outlet is supplied as standard and meets DIN EN ISO 13857 safety requirements.
The unit uses a backward curved centrifugal impeller crafted from durable polymers, dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 – 1 for smooth and efficient operation.
Powered by a totally enclosed, single-phase external rotor motor with IP54 protection, the fan is ball bearing mounted and equipped with impregnated windings for increased durability and moisture resistance. The motor is speed-controllable, maintenance-free, and radio suppressed, making the VDW 315/4 an ideal solution for a wide range of roof-mounted ventilation needs.
