The Helios VDD EC 630 is a vertical discharge roof fan featuring an efficiency-optimized housing made from seawater-resistant aluminium with an integrated protection guard for enhanced durability and protection. The motor support and base plate are constructed from galvanised steel and include an inlet cone designed for optimal airflow. The base plate comes with threaded bolts for easy connection of intake air accessories, following the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A bird guard compliant with DIN EN ISO 13857 is fitted on the outlet as standard to prevent bird ingress.
This model incorporates a high-efficiency backward curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium, dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 – 1, which ensures smooth and vibration-free operation.
The fan is powered by an energy-efficient, speed-controllable electronically commutated (EC) external rotor motor enclosed in an IP54-rated housing. It uses ball bearings with moisture protection insulation to deliver maintenance-free and interference-free performance.
Integrated electronic temperature monitoring safeguards both the motor and its electronics during operation. Standard features include an external terminal box and an external isolating switch with IP65 protection. An internal potentiometer allows precise setting of the control voltage, enabling continuous variation of the fan speed between minimum and maximum. Speed control can be adjusted using either a potentiometer or a universal control system, offering flexible and energy-efficient ventilation.
