The Helios VDD EC 560 is a vertical discharge roof fan designed with a seawater-resistant aluminium housing that features an integrated protection guard for enhanced durability. The motor support and base plate are constructed from galvanised steel and include an inlet cone for optimal airflow. The base plate is equipped with threaded bolts to facilitate the connection of intake air accessories, following the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A bird guard compliant with DIN EN ISO 13857 is standard on the outlet to prevent bird ingress.
This model utilizes a high-efficiency backward curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium, dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 – 1, ensuring smooth, low-vibration operation.
Powered by an energy-saving, speed-controllable electronically commutated (EC) external rotor motor with an enclosed IP54 design, the fan delivers top efficiency. Ball bearings with moisture protection insulation guarantee maintenance-free and interference-free performance.
Integrated electronic temperature monitoring protects the motor and electronics during operation. The fan includes an external terminal box and an external isolating switch with IP65 protection as standard. An internal potentiometer allows precise adjustment of the control voltage, enabling the fan speed to be continuously varied between minimum and maximum. Speed control can be managed via potentiometer or universal control system, offering flexible and efficient ventilation solutions.
