Helios Fans VDD EC 500 A

The Helios VDD EC 500 A is a vertical discharge roof fan designed with an efficiency-optimized housing made from seawater-resistant aluminium, featuring an integrated protection guard for enhanced durability and weather resistance. The motor support and base plate are crafted from galvanised steel and include an inlet cone for optimal airflow. The base plate has threaded bolts for easy attachment of intake air accessories, following the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A bird guard compliant with DIN EN ISO 13857 is standard on the outlet to prevent intrusion.

This model employs a high-efficiency, backward curved centrifugal impeller made from durable polymers, dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 – 1 to ensure smooth and quiet operation.

Power is provided by an energy-saving, speed-controllable electronically commutated (EC) external rotor motor enclosed to IP54 standards, delivering top efficiency. The motor features ball bearings with moisture protection insulation, offering maintenance-free and interference-free performance.

Integrated electronic temperature monitoring protects the motor and its electronics, ensuring reliable operation. The fan includes an external terminal box and an external isolating switch with IP65 protection as standard. An internal potentiometer allows precise adjustment of control voltage to set any desired fan speed between minimum and maximum. Continuous speed control is available either via the internal potentiometer or through a universal control system, allowing flexible and energy-efficient ventilation solutions
