Helios Fans VDD EC 450 A

The Helios VDD EC 450 A is a vertical discharge roof fan designed with an efficiency-optimized housing constructed from seawater-resistant aluminium, complete with an integrated protection guard for enhanced durability and safety. The motor support and base plate are made of galvanised steel, featuring an inlet cone and a base plate equipped with threaded bolts to facilitate the connection of intake air accessories, following the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A bird guard compliant with DIN EN ISO 13857 is installed on the outlet as standard.

This fan is equipped with a high-efficiency backward curved centrifugal impeller manufactured from robust polymers, dynamically balanced in accordance with DIN ISO 1940 – 1 to ensure quiet and stable operation.

Powered by an energy-efficient, speed-controllable electronically commutated (EC) external rotor motor housed in an IP54-rated enclosure, the unit includes ball bearings with moisture protection insulation for maintenance-free and interference-free use.

Integrated electronic temperature monitoring protects both the motor and its electronics. The fan is supplied with an external terminal box and an isolating switch rated IP65. An internal potentiometer allows precise adjustment of the control voltage, enabling any fan speed between minimum and maximum settings. Continuous speed control is available either via the built-in potentiometer or a universal control system, offering flexible and energy-efficient ventilation management.
