The Helios VDD EC 315 is a vertical discharge roof fan featuring an efficiency-optimized housing crafted from seawater-resistant aluminium, complete with an integrated protection guard for durability and safety. The motor support and base plate are made from galvanised steel, equipped with an inlet cone and threaded bolts for attaching intake air accessories in accordance with the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). The outlet side includes a bird guard compliant with DIN EN ISO 13857 standards.
This model is fitted with a high-efficiency backward curved centrifugal impeller made from durable polymers, dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 – 1 for smooth and quiet operation.
Powered by an energy-saving, speed-controllable electronically commutated (EC) external rotor motor, the fan offers high efficiency in an enclosed IP54 design. The motor features ball bearings with moisture-protected insulation, ensuring maintenance-free and interference-free operation.
Integrated electronic temperature monitoring safeguards both the EC motor and its electronics. The unit comes standard with an external terminal box and isolating switch rated to IP65 protection. An internal potentiometer allows precise control of the fan speed between minimum and maximum settings. Users can also opt for continuous speed control via the potentiometer or a universal control system, providing versatile and energy-efficient ventilation solutions.
