The Helios VDD 500/6 is a centrifugal roof fan engineered for vertical air discharge, offering high efficiency and durable performance for a wide range of ventilation applications. Its casing is constructed from seawater-resistant aluminium and features an integrated protection guard to ensure long-term reliability in harsh environments.
The fan includes a motor support and base plate made from galvanized steel, along with an inlet cone for smooth airflow. The base plate is designed with threaded bolts to accommodate intake-side accessories, conforming to the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A standard bird guard is installed on the outlet side, meeting DIN EN ISO 13857 safety standards.
At the heart of the fan is a high-efficiency, backward-curved centrifugal impeller made from durable polymers. The impeller is dynamically balanced in accordance with DIN ISO 1940 – 1, promoting low-vibration and quiet operation.
The VDD 500/6 is driven by a totally enclosed, speed-controllable three-phase external rotor motor with IP 54 protection. The motor is equipped with impregnated windings and ball bearings for maintenance-free operation and includes radio interference suppression, making it a reliable and efficient solution for rooftop ventilation needs.
