The Helios VDD 400/6 T120 is a roof fan engineered for vertical air discharge, optimized for continuous operation at air temperatures up to 120°C. It features a seawater-resistant aluminium casing with integrated protective guards. The motor is mounted outside the airflow, making this fan suitable for kitchen exhaust applications in line with VDI 2052 standards.
The motor support and base plate, including the inlet cone, are constructed from galvanized steel. The base plate is fitted with threaded bolts for attaching intake air accessories, following the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A bird guard is provided on the outlet side as standard, complying with DIN EN ISO 13857 safety regulations.
Equipped with a high-efficiency backward-curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium, the fan is dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 – 1 to ensure quiet and vibration-free operation.
Power is supplied by a speed-controllable, totally enclosed, self-ventilated IEC motor with IP 54 protection. The motor incorporates ball bearings with impregnated windings for maintenance-free use and features radio interference suppression for reliable, efficient performance in demanding ventilation settings.
