The Helios VDD 400/4 T120 is a roof fan designed for vertical discharge, engineered to withstand continuous airflow temperatures up to 120°C. The fan features an aerodynamically optimized casing made from seawater-resistant aluminium with integrated protective guards. The motor is mounted outside the airflow, making this fan suitable for kitchen exhaust applications in compliance with VDI 2052 standards.
The motor support and base plate, including the inlet cone, are constructed from galvanized steel. The base plate is equipped with threaded bolts for the secure attachment of intake air accessories, following the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A bird guard is installed on the outlet side as standard, meeting DIN EN ISO 13857 safety requirements.
This fan is fitted with a high-efficiency backward-curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium, dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 – 1 standards to ensure quiet and vibration-free operation.
Power is supplied by a speed-controllable, totally enclosed, three-phase external rotor motor rated IP 54. The motor incorporates ball bearings with impregnated windings for maintenance-free use and includes radio interference suppression for reliable performance under demanding conditions.
