The Helios VDD 315/4 T120 is a roof fan designed for vertical air discharge and optimized for continuous operation at air temperatures up to 120°C. It features an aerodynamically efficient casing made from seawater-resistant aluminium with integrated protective guards. The motor is positioned outside the airflow, making this fan suitable for applications such as kitchen exhaust ventilation in line with VDI 2052 guidelines.
The motor support and base plate, including the inlet cone, are made of galvanized steel. The base plate includes threaded bolts for easy attachment of intake air accessories, following the DIN 24155 hole pattern (page 3). A bird guard is installed on the outlet side as standard, conforming to DIN EN ISO 13857 safety regulations.
Equipped with a high-efficiency backward-curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium, the fan is dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 – 1 standards, ensuring quiet and vibration-free operation.
The unit is powered by a speed-controllable, totally enclosed, self-ventilated IEC motor with IP 54 protection. The motor uses ball bearings with impregnated windings for maintenance-free operation and includes radio interference suppression, delivering reliable and efficient performance in demanding ventilation applications.
