The Helios VARD 400/2 Ex is a high-pressure in-line mixed-flow fan designed for safe ventilation in explosive atmospheres, fully compliant with ATEX requirements. It features a cylindrical casing made from pre-galvanised sheet steel, equipped with rolled flanges on both ends. The dimensions and mounting hole pattern are in accordance with DIN 24155, ensuring consistent and secure installation. Built-in guide vanes further enhance aerodynamic performance.
This model is equipped with a mixed-flow impeller featuring eight spatially curved blades constructed from galvanized steel, dynamically balanced to class G 6.3 as specified by VDI 20060 and DIN ISO 1940. The fan is powered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor, which includes low-noise, sealed-for-life ball bearings. Non-controllable by design, the VARD 400/2 Ex delivers reliable, explosion-proof air movement for industrial environments with strict safety standards.
