The Helios VARD 315/2 Ex is a high-pressure in-line mixed-flow fan designed for use in hazardous areas, offering full compliance with ATEX explosion-proof standards. Its cylindrical housing is constructed from pre-galvanised sheet steel, featuring rolled flanges at both ends. The casing and flange hole layout follow DIN 24155 specifications for precise and secure installation. Integrated guide vanes are included to enhance aerodynamic performance and airflow control.
The fan incorporates a mixed-flow impeller with eight spatially curved blades made from impact-resistant polymer. The impeller is dynamically balanced to class G 6.3 in accordance with VDI 20060 and DIN ISO 1940, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. It is powered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor with low-noise, sealed-for-life ball bearings. This model is non-controllable and built to provide reliable, safe ventilation in explosive or industrial environments.
