The Helios VARD 225/2 Ex is a high-pressure in-line mixed-flow fan designed for use in hazardous environments, with full explosion-proof protection in accordance with ATEX standards. It features a cylindrical casing made from pre-galvanised sheet steel, with rolled flanges at both ends, following DIN 24155 specifications. Internal guide vanes enhance airflow and overall performance.
The fan includes a mixed-flow impeller with eight spatially curved blades made from impact-resistant polymer, dynamically balanced to class G 6.3 as per VDI 20060 and DIN ISO 1940 standards. It is powered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor, equipped with sealed-for-life low-noise ball bearings. This unit is not controllable and is specifically engineered for robust, reliable operation in explosive atmospheres.
