The Helios SB 160 D is a centrifugal fan designed with a noise-reducing housing made from galvanized sheet steel. It includes spigots sized to fit standard duct systems and is internally lined with a 50 mm thick abrasion-resistant mineral fibreboard to minimize sound transmission. The casing features a removable lid for easy access, and the motor and impeller can be swung out for straightforward maintenance.
The fan is equipped with a high-efficiency, backward curved centrifugal impeller crafted from sheet steel. It is dynamically balanced to class G 6.3 according to VDI 2060 and DIN ISO 1940 T.1 standards, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
Power is supplied by a totally enclosed, single-phase external rotor motor that includes built-in thermal protection. This motor is low-noise, maintenance-free, and features sealed-for-life ball bearings. Fan speed can be regulated by reducing the supply voltage.
