The Helios RDD EC 560 is a high-efficiency centrifugal roof fan with horizontal discharge, designed for powerful yet energy-saving ventilation in commercial and industrial applications. This advanced EC fan features an optimized aerodynamic design and a corrosion-resistant aluminum casing for long-lasting outdoor use.
The casing is manufactured from seawater-resistant aluminum and includes integrated protection against accidental contact. The motor support and base plate are made from galvanized steel and include an inlet cone for improved airflow efficiency. Threaded bolts on the base plate conform to DIN 24155 (sheet 3), allowing for easy installation of intake-side accessories. A bird guard, compliant with DIN EN ISO 13857, is fitted on the discharge side for added safety.
At the core of the fan is a backward curved centrifugal impeller made from high-quality aluminum, dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 – 1 for vibration-free operation. It is driven by an energy-efficient EC external rotor motor, fully enclosed to IP54 standards. The motor includes moisture-protected ball bearings and insulation, ensuring long service life with zero maintenance and interference-free operation.
The RDD EC 560 is equipped with integrated electronic temperature monitoring for both the motor and control electronics. It comes with a factory-installed external terminal box and isolating switch (IP65 rated) and includes an internal potentiometer for precise voltage adjustment — enabling smooth and continuous speed control from minimum to maximum. The fan supports external control via a potentiometer or universal control system for flexible speed management.
Ideal for modern building ventilation systems, the Helios RDD EC 560 combines robust construction, energy efficiency, and intelligent control features for reliable, high-performance roof-level air extraction.
