The Helios MBW EC 315 is a high-performance centrifugal fan engineered for quiet, energy-efficient ventilation. Its casing is constructed from double-walled galvanised sheet steel and internally lined with 30 mm thick mineral wool panels, effectively minimizing noise emissions. Both suction and discharge nozzles are fitted with rubber lip seals, ensuring secure connections to standard ductwork.
The unit features a fully swing-out motor and impeller assembly mounted on sturdy rails and supported by four vibration absorbers, simplifying inspection and maintenance. A condensate drain and drip protection system are included as standard when the access door is opened.
The fan includes a backward-curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium and directly mounted on the motor shaft. It is dynamically balanced to class G 6.3 in accordance with VDI 2060 and DIN ISO 1940 standards to ensure smooth, vibration-free operation with low noise.
An integrated EC internal rotor motor powers the fan, offering high efficiency, low energy consumption, and quiet operation. The motor is IP 55 rated, maintenance-free, and equipped with sealed ball bearings and radio suppression. It includes electronic temperature monitoring for both motor and electronics, with automatic speed reduction if temperature thresholds are exceeded. Stepless speed control is possible via a potentiometer or universal controller, and an external IP 55 terminal box ensures easy electrical connection
