The Helios MBW EC 280 is a sound-encapsulated centrifugal fan engineered for quiet, high-efficiency operation in ventilation systems. Its casing is made from double-walled galvanised steel and lined internally with 30 mm thick mineral wool insulation, delivering excellent noise reduction. Both the intake and exhaust connections are fitted with rubber lip seals for a tight and secure fit with standard ducting.
This model features a swing-out motor and impeller assembly, mounted on robust rails and supported by four vibration dampers for stability and quiet performance. It includes a built-in condensate drain and drip protection, activated when the access door is open, to ensure safe and clean maintenance.
The fan’s backward-curved radial impeller is constructed from aluminium and dynamically balanced to quality class G 6.3 in line with DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 standards for smooth, vibration-free performance.
Powered by a high-efficiency EC motor, the fan offers sealed, maintenance-free operation with long-life ball bearings and integrated thermal protection. Speed can be controlled steplessly via a potentiometer or universal control system. The external IP-rated terminal box allows for simple electrical connections and setup
