The Helios MBW 400/4 is a high-performance centrifugal fan designed with sound encapsulation for quiet operation. Its housing consists of double-walled galvanised sheet steel, internally lined with 30 mm thick mineral wool to absorb sound effectively. Both the suction and discharge pipe connections include rubber lip seals for a secure, airtight fit with standard duct systems.
Maintenance is simplified thanks to a fully swing-out motor and impeller assembly, which is mounted on stable rails and supported by four vibration dampers to ensure quiet and smooth operation. A standard condensate drain and drip protection are included when the fan door is opened.
The unit features a high-performance radial impeller with backward-curved aluminium blades, dynamically balanced to quality class G 6.3 according to VDI 2060 and DIN ISO 1940 standards to ensure vibration-free operation.
The fan is driven by a single-phase AC capacitor motor that is closed, maintenance-free, and fitted with thermal protection within the windings. The motor includes sealed, low-noise ball bearings with long-life lubrication and supports speed regulation through voltage reduction. This motor design is not reversible
