The Helios MBD EC 400 B is a centrifugal fan designed for high efficiency and quiet performance. It features a speed-controllable EC internal rotor motor positioned outside of the airflow, enhancing longevity and energy savings. The housing is made from double-skinned galvanised steel and acoustically lined with 30 mm mineral fibreboard to reduce sound emissions. Intake and exhaust spigots are equipped with twin-seal rubber gaskets for a tight and reliable seal.
For simplified maintenance, the motor and impeller unit can be swung out from the casing. This assembly is supported by two robust rails and four anti-vibration mounts to maintain stability and low noise during operation. A condensation drain and drip protection are standard features when the access door is open.
The EC motor delivers maximum energy efficiency, is IP 55 rated for protection, maintenance-free, and equipped with sealed ball bearings and radio suppression. Built-in electronic temperature monitoring protects both the motor and control electronics, automatically reducing speed if operating temperatures exceed safe limits. Speed control is stepless and can be managed via a potentiometer or universal control system. The motor also includes an IP 55 external terminal box for secure and accessible electrical connections.
