Helios Fans MBD 250/4 Ex

The Helios MBD 250/4 Ex is a high-performance centrifugal fan designed for safe and efficient ventilation in hazardous environments. This explosion-proof model is constructed with a double-skinned galvanised steel casing, insulated with 50 mm thick mineral fibreboard to ensure low noise operation.

Equipped with a swing-out motor and impeller unit located outside the airflow path, the fan allows for easy maintenance and cleaning. The intake and exhaust connections are fitted with twin-seal rubber gaskets for secure, airtight ductwork integration. Four anti-vibration mounts and durable mounting rails provide stable and quiet performance.

The forward curved centrifugal impeller is manufactured from galvanized sheet steel and dynamically balanced to DIN 1940 and VDI 2060 (class G 6.3) for optimal efficiency and vibration-free operation.

This fan uses a fully enclosed, 3‑phase squirrel cage motor that is maintenance-free and features sealed-for-life ball bearings. Designed for reliability and safety, the motor is not speed-controllable and meets ATEX standards for explosion-proof installations.
