The Helios MBD 200/4 Ex is a high-performance centrifugal fan designed for industrial applications in potentially explosive atmospheres. Fully compliant with ATEX standards, this fan features a swing-out motor and impeller unit positioned outside of the airflow, facilitating safe and easy maintenance.
Its double-skinned galvanized steel casing is filled with 50 mm mineral fibreboard, ensuring excellent acoustic insulation. Both intake and exhaust ports are equipped with twin-seal rubber gaskets for secure, airtight connections. The fan is mounted on durable rails with four anti-vibration mounts to ensure stable and quiet operation.
The forward-curved centrifugal impeller is constructed from galvanized sheet steel and dynamically balanced to DIN 1940 and VDI 2060 (class G 6.3) standards. The motor is a fully enclosed, 3‑phase squirrel cage design that is maintenance-free, fitted with sealed-for-life ball bearings, and not speed-controllable.
