The Helios MBD 180/4 Ex is a robust, acoustically insulated centrifugal fan engineered for use in environments with explosion risk, fully compliant with ATEX standards. Its design incorporates a double-skinned galvanized steel housing filled with 50 mm mineral fibreboard to minimize operational noise.
The fan features intake and exhaust connections fitted with twin-seal rubber gaskets, ensuring airtight ducting. A swing-out motor and impeller system allows for easy access during cleaning and maintenance. The unit is mounted on sturdy rails with four anti-vibration mounts for stable, quiet operation.
At the core is a forward-curved centrifugal impeller made of galvanized sheet steel, dynamically balanced to DIN 1940 and VDI 2060 (class G 6.3) standards for reliable performance. The motor is a fully enclosed, 3‑phase squirrel cage type, maintenance-free, and fitted with sealed-for-life low-noise ball bearings.
