The Helios MBD 160/4 Ex is a heavy-duty centrifugal fan built for reliable ventilation in hazardous areas requiring explosion protection. This ATEX-certified model features a double-skinned galvanized steel casing with 50 mm mineral fibreboard insulation, ensuring quiet operation and superior noise reduction.
Both intake and exhaust spigots are equipped with twin-seal rubber gaskets for a secure and airtight connection. The fan includes a swing-out motor and impeller assembly, allowing quick access for cleaning and maintenance. It comes with stable mounting rails and four anti-vibration mounts to enhance durability and minimize operational vibration.
The fan uses a high-efficiency, forward-curved centrifugal impeller made of galvanized sheet steel, dynamically balanced in accordance with DIN 1940 and VDI 2060 (class G 6.3) standards for smooth and stable performance.
Powered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor, the MBD 160/4 Ex is equipped with low-noise, sealed-for-life ball bearings. It is non-controllable in speed and is specially engineered to meet ATEX requirements, making it ideal for use in potentially explosive environments
