Helios Fans KVD 280÷4÷60÷30 Ex

The Helios KVD 280÷4÷60÷30 Ex is a high-performance explosion-proof centrifugal fan designed for direct installation in rectangular duct systems, suitable for use in ATEX-rated hazardous environments. Its housing is made from durable galvanized sheet steel and features standardized channel flange profiles on both sides for straightforward duct integration. The compact design includes a swiveling motor-impeller unit, allowing for easy servicing.

This model uses a forward curved drum impeller made from galvanized steel, engineered for low-noise operation and optimal airflow efficiency. The dynamically balanced impeller unit is enclosed in an aerodynamically optimized spiral casing with an inlet nozzle to support smooth air intake.

The fan is driven by a three-phase external rotor motor certified to ATEX standards. It features a fully enclosed, sealed design with maintenance-free operation and long-life, low-noise ball bearings. A built-in PTC thermistor enables motor protection and allows speed control when connected to an MSA tripping device — provided the minimum operating voltage remains above 100 V. This makes it ideal for controlled, safe ventilation in potentially explosive areas.
