Helios Fans HRFD 560/6 Ex

The Helios HRFD 560/6 Ex is a high-performance axial fan designed for use in hazardous areas requiring explosion-proof equipment certified according to ATEX standards. It features a directly driven impeller enclosed within a cylindrical duct made of galvanised sheet steel, with flanges on both ends for easy installation per DIN 24155 specifications. A terminal box is mounted on the outer casing for convenient electrical connections.

The fan’s impeller is profiled with seven blades, made from impact-resistant, anti-static polymers to ensure safety and durability in potentially explosive atmospheres. It is dynamically balanced to stringent DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 class 6.3 standards, providing smooth and reliable operation. The impeller is suitable for temperatures ranging from ‑30°C to +40°C and has an electrical resistance below 1 Ohm to prevent static discharge.

Powered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor equipped with low-noise sealed-for-life ball bearings, the HRFD 560/6 Ex operates quietly and reliably. This motor is not speed controllable but meets the highest safety standards for explosion-proof applications, ensuring safe performance in demanding industrial environments.
