Helios Fans HRFD 500/6 Ex

The Helios HRFD 500/6 Ex is a heavy-duty explosion-proof axial fan engineered for safe and efficient air movement in hazardous or potentially explosive environments. Certified to ATEX standards, this fan is ideal for industrial applications where flammable gases or dusts may be present.

Its cylindrical casing is made from durable galvanised sheet steel and features flanges on both ends, compliant with DIN 24155 for easy integration into ducted systems. A terminal box is mounted externally for safe electrical access.

The HRFD 500/6 Ex is fitted with a high-efficiency, 7‑blade impeller manufactured from impact-resistant, anti-static polymers. The impeller is dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 class 6.3, ensuring stable, low-vibration performance. It operates in ambient temperatures ranging from ‑30°C to +40°C and features a surface resistance of less than 1 Ohm to eliminate static charge buildup.

Power is delivered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor. Designed for continuous, reliable operation, the motor features low-noise, sealed-for-life ball bearings and is non-controllable for fixed-speed use in classified zones. The HRFD 500/6 Ex provides safe and robust ventilation performance in explosion-sensitive settings.
