Helios Fans HRFD 450/4 Ex

The Helios HRFD 450/4 Ex is a robust explosion-proof axial fan designed specifically for hazardous areas, certified according to ATEX standards. It incorporates a cylindrical duct constructed from galvanised sheet steel, fitted with flanges on both ends that conform to DIN 24155 dimensions and flange fixing hole standards. The terminal box is mounted externally on the casing for easy access.

This model features a highly efficient, profiled impeller with seven blades, dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 class 6.3 for smooth, vibration-free operation. The impeller is manufactured from impact-resistant, anti-static polymers, ensuring safety and reliability in environments prone to electrostatic discharge. It operates effectively within a temperature range of ‑30°C to +40°C and maintains an electrical resistance below 1 Ohm.

Power is supplied by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor with low-noise, sealed-for-life ball bearings. The motor is not controllable but is engineered for safe and reliable operation in explosive atmospheres, complying fully with ATEX requirements.
