Helios Fans HRFD 400/4 Ex

The Helios HRFD 400/4 Ex is a high-performance explosion proof axial fan engineered for use in hazardous environments where ATEX compliance is essential. This duct-mounted fan is directly driven and equipped with flanges on both ends for seamless integration into industrial ventilation systems.

Its cylindrical housing is made from durable galvanised sheet steel and includes standardized flanges and mounting holes in accordance with DIN 24155. A weather-protected terminal box is positioned on the outer casing for straightforward electrical connection.

The HRFD 400/4 Ex features a 7‑blade impeller crafted from impact-resistant, antistatic polymers. It is dynamically balanced to Class G 6.3 according to DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 standards, ensuring smooth operation and extended service life. The impeller is suitable for use in ambient temperatures ranging from ‑30 °C to +40 °C, with an electrical resistance of less than 1 Ohm, ensuring safe performance in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Driven by a totally enclosed 3‑phase squirrel cage motor, the fan operates quietly and requires no maintenance thanks to its sealed-for-life ball bearings. The motor is non-controllable and built specifically for explosion proof operation in compliance with ATEX directives, making the HRFD 400/4 Ex ideal for demanding industrial applications where safety and reliability are paramount.
