The Helios HRFD 355/4 Ex is a robust axial fan specifically engineered for use in potentially explosive environments, offering reliable performance and safety compliance in line with ATEX regulations.
Its cylindrical casing is constructed from galvanized sheet steel and includes flanges on both ends for direct duct mounting, with dimensions and mounting holes conforming to DIN 24155 standards. A conveniently accessible external terminal box is mounted on the casing.
At the heart of the unit is a high-efficiency, 7‑blade impeller made from impact-resistant, anti-static polymer materials. Dynamically balanced to Class G 6.3 (per DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060), the impeller delivers stable airflow with minimal vibration. The fan operates effectively in ambient temperatures ranging from ‑30°C to +40°C and has an electrical resistance of less than 1 Ohm to ensure safe use in explosive atmospheres.
Powered by a totally enclosed 3‑phase squirrel cage motor, the HRFD 355/4 Ex is maintenance-free and features sealed-for-life ball bearings for quiet operation. This motor is not speed controllable, in compliance with explosion-proof requirements. Ideal for hazardous industrial environments, the fan meets strict ATEX standards for safe and continuous ventilation.
