The Helios HQD 630/6 Ex is a square plate high-efficiency axial fan, designed for direct drive operation in hazardous environments with explosion proof protection according to ATEX standards. The fan features a square mounting plate with a drawn bell mouth inlet constructed from galvanised sheet steel for durability.
Its high-efficiency impeller has 7 blades, dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 class 6.3, and is made from impact-resistant, anti-static polymers suitable for temperatures between ‑30°C and +40°C. The impeller also ensures electrical resistance of less than 1 Ohm for safety in explosive atmospheres.
Powered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor with low-noise sealed for life ball bearings, this fan is not controllable but offers reliable, long-lasting operation. The entire unit meets strict ATEX explosion proof requirements, making it ideal for use in potentially explosive industrial settings.
