The Helios HQD 500/6 Ex is a heavy-duty, high-efficiency axial fan designed for safe operation in hazardous areas. This explosion-proof model complies with ATEX standards, making it ideal for environments with flammable gases or vapors.
The fan features a square mounting plate with a precision-formed bell mouth inlet, constructed from galvanized sheet steel for strength and corrosion resistance. Its 7‑blade impeller is crafted from impact-resistant, antistatic polymers and is dynamically balanced to Class G 6.3 in accordance with DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 standards, ensuring smooth and vibration-free operation. It is suitable for temperatures ranging from ‑30°C to +40°C and has an electrical resistance below 1 Ohm for added safety.
Powered by a totally enclosed 3‑phase squirrel cage motor, the unit is maintenance-free with low-noise, sealed-for-life ball bearings. The fan is not speed controllable due to its explosion-proof configuration. The HQD 500/6 Ex delivers reliable performance and safety in critical industrial ventilation applications.
