The Helios HQD 500/4 Ex is a heavy-duty, explosion-proof axial fan designed for industrial environments where ATEX compliance is essential. Built for direct drive operation, this high-efficiency model features a square mounting plate with a precision-drawn bell mouth inlet made from durable galvanized sheet steel.
Equipped with a high-performance impeller consisting of 7 profiled blades made from impact-resistant, anti-static polymer, this fan is dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 (Class G 6.3) standards. It is suitable for operating in ambient temperatures ranging from ‑30°C to +40°C, with an electrical resistance of less than 1 Ohm, ensuring safe use in hazardous zones.
The fan is powered by a totally enclosed 3‑phase squirrel cage motor that is both maintenance-free and non-controllable. Sealed-for-life ball bearings contribute to quiet and long-lasting operation.
