The Helios HQD 400/4 Ex is a high-efficiency axial fan designed for hazardous environments, certified explosion-proof according to ATEX standards. It features a square mounting plate with a drawn bell mouth inlet made from galvanized sheet steel, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance.
This model is equipped with a highly efficient 7‑blade impeller made of impact-resistant, anti-static polymers. The impeller is dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 class 6.3 standards, designed to operate reliably within a temperature range of ‑30°C to +40°C, with an electrical resistance under 1 Ohm.
The fan is powered by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor with low-noise, sealed-for-life ball bearings. The motor is not speed-controllable and complies fully with ATEX explosion protection requirements, making it suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
