The Helios HQD 355/2 Ex is a high-efficiency axial fan engineered for use in hazardous locations, compliant with ATEX explosion-proof standards. It features a square mounting plate with a drawn bell mouth inlet, constructed from galvanized sheet steel to provide strength and resistance to corrosion.
The fan is equipped with a 7‑blade impeller made from impact-resistant, anti-static polymer materials. This impeller is dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 class 6.3 for stable and efficient operation. Suitable for temperatures between ‑30°C and +40°C, the impeller also meets safety requirements with an electrical resistance below 1 Ohm.
Power is supplied by a totally enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor featuring sealed-for-life, low-noise ball bearings. The motor is non-speed controllable and built to explosion-proof specifications, making the HQD 355/2 Ex ideal for reliable ventilation in ATEX-regulated industrial settings.
