Helios Fans HQD 250/2 Ex

The Helios HQD 250/2 Ex is a square plate axial fan designed for high efficiency and certified explosion protection in accordance with ATEX standards. It features a directly driven design and is constructed from galvanized sheet steel with a square mounting plate and integrated inlet cone for optimized airflow.

Equipped with a precision-engineered, 7‑blade impeller made from impact-resistant, anti-static polymer materials, this fan offers excellent aerodynamic performance. The impeller is dynamically balanced to meet DIN ISO 1940 and VDI 2060 class 6.3 standards, ensuring smooth and reliable operation. It is suitable for use in environments with ambient temperatures ranging from ‑30°C to +40°C and features electrical resistance below 1 Ohm.

The unit is powered by a fully enclosed, maintenance-free 3‑phase squirrel cage motor with sealed-for-life, low-noise ball bearings. This motor is not speed-controllable and is specifically built to meet explosion-proof requirements under ATEX regulations, making the HQD 250/2 Ex ideal for use in hazardous or industrial zones requiring stringent safety compliance.
