Helios Fans GBW EC 450 T120

The Helios GBW EC 450 T120 is a powerful cubic exhaust unit engineered for the extraction of hot and contaminated air, with a maximum operating temperature of 120°C. Ideal for commercial kitchens and process ventilation systems, this unit includes low-loss supply and extract duct adapters with flexible sleeves that significantly reduce vibration transmission, ensuring quieter operation. The motor is positioned outside the airflow, enhancing its durability when handling dirty and high-temperature air.

Its self-supporting enclosure frame is constructed from lightweight yet sturdy aluminium hollow sections. The double-walled side panels, 20 mm thick and made from galvanised sheet steel, provide excellent sound and heat insulation thanks to a lining of non-combustible mineral wool. These panels are interchangeable and can be fitted with various accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional mounting options include wall brackets and weather protection roofs that can be installed internally or externally as needed. The unit is easily positioned using standard crane hooks.

The heart of the GBW EC 450 T120 is a free-running backward curved centrifugal impeller made of aluminium, directly driven for high energy efficiency and minimal noise output. This impeller is dynamically balanced with the motor to DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 class 6.3 standards, ensuring smooth and vibration-free operation.

Powering the fan is an energy-saving, enclosed EC internal-rotor motor placed outside the airflow, rated IP54 for protection against dust and moisture, and designed for maximum efficiency. The motor is maintenance-free, interference-resistant, and equipped with ball bearings for long service life. Integrated electronic temperature monitoring protects both the motor and control electronics from overheating.

Speed control is flexible and precise via an internal potentiometer, allowing adjustment of fan speed from minimum to maximum. Additionally, stepless speed control can be achieved through an external potentiometer or the universal EUR-EC control system. Electrical connections for mains supply and control signals are made directly at the EC controller inside the unit, simplifying installation and operation.
