Helios Fans GBW EC 450

The Helios GBW EC 450 is a compact and energy-efficient cubic ventilation box designed for commercial and industrial ventilation needs. It features intake and extract spigots equipped with flexible sleeves that minimize vibration transmission, providing quiet and stable operation. The unit includes variable side panels, which can be adapted to fit various structural conditions, and it can be easily installed and positioned using standard crane hooks.

Constructed with a self-supporting frame made from durable aluminium hollow sections, the ventilation box boasts double-walled side panels that are 20 mm thick and made from galvanised sheet steel. These panels are lined with non-combustible mineral wool to provide excellent sound and heat insulation. The enclosure panels are interchangeable and can be enhanced with optional accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional mounting accessories, including wall brackets and weather protection roofs, can be installed on both the interior and exterior of the unit as required.

At the heart of the GBW EC 450 is a free-running, backward curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium, which is directly driven to ensure energy efficiency and low noise output. The impeller and motor assembly are dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 class 6.3 to guarantee vibration-free operation.

The fan is powered by an energy-saving, speed-controllable EC external rotor motor with an IP54 protection rating, offering maximum efficiency and durability. This motor is maintenance-free, interference-resistant, and uses ball bearings for long-lasting performance. Integrated electronic temperature monitoring safeguards both the motor and electronics from overheating.

Speed control is made easy with a built-in internal potentiometer, allowing precise adjustment of fan speed from minimum to maximum. For added flexibility, stepless speed control can be managed via an external potentiometer or through the universal EUR-EC control system. Electrical connections are facilitated through a standard terminal box (IP54) attached to a cable for straightforward setup.
