Helios Fans GBW EC 400 T120

The Helios GBW EC 400 T120 is a powerful cubical exhaust unit tailored for demanding ventilation tasks, particularly suited for commercial kitchens and process technology systems where air temperatures can reach up to 120°C. Designed with supply and extract low-loss duct adapters including flexible sleeves, it effectively reduces vibration transmission, ensuring smooth and quiet operation. The unit’s versatile side panels can be adapted to suit various structural conditions, and it can be easily positioned using standard crane hooks.

This unit’s motor is positioned outside the air flow, allowing it to handle extraction of hot, dirty air without compromising performance. It is equipped with a condensate collector and an enclosed condensation discharge system as standard features, supporting durability and maintenance ease in challenging environments.

The robust self-supporting enclosure frame is made from aluminium hollow sections, providing strength and longevity. The double-walled, 20 mm thick side panels are constructed of galvanised sheet steel and insulated with non-combustible mineral wool for excellent sound and heat insulation. These panels are interchangeable and can be fitted with optional accessories like weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional mounting options include wall brackets and weather protection roofs, both for internal and external use.

At the core of the GBW EC 400 T120 is a free-running backward curved centrifugal impeller crafted from aluminium, directly driven for energy efficiency and low noise output. The impeller and motor assembly is dynamically balanced in compliance with DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 class 6.3 to ensure vibration-free operation.

Powered by an energy-saving, enclosed EC internal-rotor motor located outside the air flow, this fan delivers high performance with IP54 protection and maximum efficiency. The motor is maintenance-free, interference-resistant, and ball bearing mounted to maximize reliability. Integrated electronic temperature monitoring protects both the motor and the electronics from overheating.

The fan speed is adjustable via a standard internal potentiometer, allowing precise control between minimum and maximum speed. For additional flexibility, stepless speed control is supported via an external potentiometer or through the universal EUR-EC control system. The mains supply and control signals are connected directly within the unit at the EC controller, simplifying installation and operation.
