Helios Fans GBW EC 400 A

The Helios GBW EC 400 A is a high-performance cubic ventilation box designed for efficient air intake and extraction in various industrial and commercial applications. Equipped with intake and extract spigots fitted with flexible sleeves, it effectively reduces vibration transmission, ensuring quiet and stable operation. The unit’s adaptable side panels allow it to be tailored to different structural requirements, making installation straightforward and flexible. Standard crane hooks facilitate easy positioning.

Constructed with a self-supporting frame of aluminium hollow sections, the ventilation box is robust and durable. Its double-walled side panels, made from galvanised sheet steel and 20 mm thick, provide excellent sound and thermal insulation thanks to a lining of non-combustible mineral wool. These panels are designed to be interchangeable, compatible with accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional mounting options for wall brackets and weather protection roofs are available both inside and outside the enclosure.

The unit features a free-running backward curved centrifugal impeller made from aluminium and directly driven for enhanced energy efficiency and low noise emission. The impeller and motor assembly are dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 class 6.3, ensuring smooth and vibration-free operation.

Powered by an energy-efficient, speed-controllable EC external rotor motor with an IP54 protection rating, the GBW EC 400 A offers maximum performance and reliability. The motor is maintenance-free, interference-resistant, and supported by durable ball bearings. Integrated electronic temperature monitoring protects the motor and electronics from overheating.

Speed control is user-friendly, with an internal potentiometer included as standard for precise adjustment of control voltage and fan speed. For flexible operation, stepless speed adjustment is also possible via an external potentiometer or the EUR-EC universal control system. Electrical connections are conveniently made through a standard IP54 terminal box attached to the unit by cable.
