The Helios GBW EC 250 is an energy-saving cubic ventilation box designed for efficient intake and extraction of air in various structural setups. It features flexible sleeves to minimize vibration transmission and adaptable side panels that can be customized to fit specific installation requirements. Positioning is simplified with standard crane hooks for easy handling.
Constructed from a self-supporting aluminium hollow section frame, the enclosure is robust and durable. The double-walled side panels are 20 mm thick, made of galvanised sheet steel, and insulated with non-combustible mineral wool to provide sound and thermal insulation. Panels can be replaced or supplemented with accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional options include wall brackets and weather protection roofs, which can be mounted internally or externally as needed.
The ventilation box houses a high-performance centrifugal impeller with backward curved plastic blades, directly driven by a speed-controlled EC external rotor motor. This motor offers maximum efficiency, IP54 protection, and runs maintenance-free and radio interference-free on ball bearings. Dynamic balancing of both motor and impeller ensures vibration-free operation, complying with quality level 6.3 according to DIN ISO 1940 T.1.
Integrated electronic temperature monitoring safeguards the motor and control electronics. The unit includes an internal potentiometer for precise speed adjustment between minimum and maximum settings. Additionally, speed control can be managed via an external potentiometer or through the universal EUR-EC control system. Electrical connection is made through a standard IP54 terminal box mounted on an extended cable for convenience.
Ideal for energy-efficient, reliable ventilation in commercial or industrial environments, the GBW EC 250 combines flexibility, quiet operation, and high performance in a compact design.
