The Helios GBD EC 710 T120 is a cubic exhaust unit featuring low-loss duct adapters for supply and extract air, equipped with flexible sleeves that help reduce vibration transmission and are suitable for temperatures up to 120°C. Its adaptable side panels allow installation flexibility according to structural requirements. The motor is positioned outside the airflow, making the unit suitable for extracting hot, contaminated air up to 120°C. It comes standard with a condensate collector and an enclosed condensation discharge system. This unit is ideal for commercial kitchens and ventilation systems in process technology. Positioning is simplified using standard crane hooks.
The enclosure is constructed from a self-supporting frame of aluminium hollow sections. It has double-walled side panels that are 20 mm thick, made from galvanized sheet steel, and insulated with non-combustible mineral wool to provide sound and heat insulation. The panels are replaceable and can be fitted with optional accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional components, including wall brackets and weather protection roofs, can be installed internally or externally as needed.
The fan includes a free-running, backward-curved centrifugal impeller made of aluminium, directly driven for efficient and quiet operation. The impeller and motor assembly is dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 – class 6.3, ensuring smooth running.
Powered by a highly efficient, enclosed EC internal rotor motor located outside the airflow, the unit offers speed control and IP54 protection. The motor is maintenance-free, ball bearing mounted, and designed to operate without interference. Integrated electronic temperature monitoring safeguards the motor and electronics. An internal potentiometer allows setting the control voltage and adjusting fan speed from minimum to maximum. Stepless speed regulation is possible via an external potentiometer or the EUR-EC universal control system. Mains supply and control connections are made directly at the EC controller within the unit.
