The Helios GBD EC 710 A is an energy-efficient cubic ventilation unit designed for both intake and exhaust functions. It features duct connectors with flexible sleeves that help minimize vibration transmission, along with adaptable side panels to fit various structural conditions. Installation is simplified through the use of standard crane hooks.

Constructed with a self-supporting frame made of aluminium hollow sections, the unit has double-walled side panels measuring 20 mm in thickness, made from galvanized sheet steel and lined internally with non-combustible mineral wool for thermal and acoustic insulation. These panels are replaceable and can be upgraded with optional accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional fittings like wall brackets and weather protection roofs can be mounted either inside or outside the enclosure as needed.

The unit incorporates a direct-driven, backward-curved centrifugal impeller made of aluminium. It is designed for quiet operation and high energy efficiency, with dynamic balancing of the impeller and motor according to DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 – class 6.3 to ensure smooth performance.

A speed-controllable EC external rotor motor powers the fan, offering IP54 protection and peak efficiency. The motor is maintenance-free, ball bearing mounted, and designed to operate without interference. Integrated electronic temperature monitoring safeguards both the motor and control electronics. A built-in potentiometer allows manual adjustment of fan speed within the full operating range. For external speed control, the unit supports connection to an external potentiometer or the EUR-EC universal control system. All electrical connections are made through a standard IP54-rated terminal box with cable access.
