The Helios GBD EC 630 is a high-performance, energy-efficient cubic ventilation unit designed for both intake and extract applications. It features duct connectors with flexible sleeves to minimize vibration transfer and adjustable side panels to accommodate a range of installation conditions. The unit is designed for easy placement using standard crane hooks.
Its construction includes a self-supporting frame made from aluminium hollow sections and double-walled, 20 mm thick galvanized steel panels. These panels are internally insulated with non-combustible mineral wool to reduce both noise and heat transfer. Optional panel replacements, such as weather louvres and condensate trays, can be added as needed. Additional mounting options like wall brackets and weather protection roofs can be installed either internally or externally.
The ventilation system is equipped with a backward-curved, free-running centrifugal impeller made from aluminium, directly driven for optimal efficiency and quiet operation. The impeller and motor assembly is dynamically balanced in line with DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 – class 6.3 standards for smooth and stable performance.
The unit is powered by a high-efficiency EC external rotor motor with IP54 protection, offering variable speed control. The motor is ball bearing mounted, maintenance-free, and interference-resistant. It includes built-in electronic temperature monitoring for both the motor and control electronics. A standard internal potentiometer allows for fan speed adjustment across the full range, with support for stepless control using either an external potentiometer or the EUR-EC universal controller. All electrical connections are made through an IP54-rated terminal box with cable integration.
