Helios Fans GBD EC 500 A T120

The Helios GBD EC 500 A T120 is a high-temperature cubic exhaust unit designed for both supply and extract applications, featuring low-resistance duct adapters with flexible sleeves to minimize vibration. Capable of handling air temperatures up to 120°C, the motor is positioned outside the airstream, making it suitable for exhausting hot or contaminated air. The unit comes equipped with a condensate collector and integrated drainage system, making it ideal for commercial kitchens and process ventilation systems. Installation is simplified with standard crane hook fittings.

Its structure is based on a self-supporting aluminium frame with double-walled side panels that are 20 mm thick and constructed from galvanized sheet steel. These panels are internally insulated with non-combustible mineral wool for both thermal and acoustic performance. Side panels are interchangeable and compatible with optional accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Additional fittings like wall brackets and a protective roof can be attached internally or externally as needed.

The unit features a free-running backward-curved centrifugal impeller made of aluminium, directly driven for high efficiency and quiet operation. The impeller and motor are dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 – class 6.3 for smooth performance.

Powered by an energy-efficient EC internal-rotor motor located outside the airflow, the unit offers stepless speed control and operates maintenance-free with ball bearings and IP54 protection. The motor and integrated electronics are continuously monitored for temperature. An internal potentiometer is included for adjusting control voltage and setting any speed between minimum and maximum. Further control options include an external potentiometer or the EUR-EC universal controller. All electrical connections, including power and control signals, are managed directly within the unit at the integrated EC controller.
