The Helios GBD EC 355 T120 is a robust cubic exhaust unit engineered for the extraction of hot, contaminated air at temperatures up to 120°C. Perfectly suited for commercial kitchens and process ventilation, it comes equipped with low-loss supply and extract duct adapters featuring flexible sleeves that minimize vibration transmission and noise.
The motor is positioned outside the air flow, making the unit suitable for handling dirty, high-temperature air. A condensate collector with enclosed condensation discharge is included as standard, enhancing durability and operational safety.
The enclosure frame is self-supporting and constructed from strong yet lightweight aluminium hollow sections. The double-walled side panels are 20 mm thick, made from galvanised sheet steel, and lined with non-combustible mineral wool for excellent sound and heat insulation. These panels are interchangeable and compatible with various accessories such as weather louvres and condensate trays. Wall brackets and weather protection roofs can be mounted inside or outside the unit, depending on installation needs. The entire unit can be easily positioned using standard crane hooks.
At the core of the GBD EC 355 T120 is a free-running backward curved centrifugal impeller made of aluminium, directly driven for energy-efficient, low-noise operation. The impeller and motor are dynamically balanced to DIN ISO 1940 Pt.1 class 6.3 standards, ensuring smooth and vibration-free running.
The fan is powered by an energy-saving, enclosed EC internal-rotor motor located outside the airflow. This motor offers maximum efficiency with IP54 protection, is maintenance-free, interference-resistant, and uses ball bearings for long-lasting reliability. Integrated electronic temperature monitoring safeguards both the motor and the electronics.
Speed control is flexible and precise, featuring an internal potentiometer for adjusting fan speed between minimum and maximum settings. Additional stepless speed control options include an external potentiometer or the universal EUR-EC control system. Electrical connections for power and control signals are conveniently located inside the unit at the EC controller for streamlined installation and operation.
Designed to meet the demands of environments where hot, dirty air must be extracted efficiently and reliably, the Helios GBD EC 355 T120 combines rugged construction, advanced motor technology, and comprehensive control options to support commercial and industrial ventilation needs.
